Where Ideas Go to Die: A Grief Group for Creative Spirits

Sunday, October 27th from 2:00 - 4:30 pm at ALTAR Community

🔍 Review,🪞reflect on, and 🌬️ release the ideas that are no longer serving you.

Exploring grief in the creative process can be challenging, as it often means putting cherished ideas to rest, confronting self-doubt and negative self-talk, and navigating the uncertainty of what comes next.

Together, we will:
🔍 Review: we’ll provide pre-work to prime your mind and spirit for our session. Sometimes we know it’s time to bench something we’ve been working on, but it can be difficult to discern what to drop or how to let it go. The pre-work will help take you from cloudy to crystal-clear.
🪞 Reflect: our 2-hr event will offer an abundance of opportunities to process individually, in pairs, and in community. Expect introspection, mirroring exercises, and meaningful dialogue that encourages vulnerability, deep connection, and self-compassion.
🌬️  Release: we will close with a grief ritual where we will symbolically transmute our old ideas. Through our ritual, we will let go of the concepts, mindsets, or creative projects we are ready to part with.
By the end of the afternoon, we hope you'll leave with a lighter heart and a deeper understanding of what it means to let go—ready to embrace new creative energy and ideas!

Meet your facilitators

Emmy
Emmy is a Witch and a trauma-informed Tarot & Akashic Records Guide. She’s a writer who adores making others feel simultaneously comforted and confronted. She is also a Death & Creativity Doula. Emmy's values are self-expression, intuition, and curiosity. She lives to support creatives, misfits, and the morbidly inclined who crave being seen, integrating their shadows, and welcoming transformation. Whether she’s podcasting, writing, or working through snags in a magickal or mundane way (or both!), the end result is the same: Emmy is here to be unabashedly herself and to help others be the most authentic version of themselves.
Taylor
Taylor is a prolific creator asking the question: How can we experience well-being and fulfillment in every aspect of our lives? She’s the founder of the Inner Workout app, and the award-winning author of a book by the same name.  Named one of Fortune’s 10 Innovators Shaping the Future of Health,  Taylor is tired of aspirational 'wellness as usual.' Instead, she makes personal development more accessible. Taylor uses her coaching, mindfulness, and movement training to meet people where they are and get them closer to what they really want.
